The Freehold Borough Educational Foundation was established in 1999 by a group of private citizens who saw the need for community support of our public schools. The belief system that evolved from a consensus of our diverse community guided the creation of the Foundation.

The mission of the Foundation is to plant seeds of excellence through creative and innovative teaching, student development and enhanced community/school partnerships. The Foundation trustees are civic, business and educational leaders, most of whom are not affiliated with the school district.

The Foundation operates independently from the board of education and exists solely for the benefit of the students of the district.
